A Colourful Amalfi Coast-Inspired Wedding at Osteria | Gold Coast Wedding Styling

When our couple came to us with a dream to bring the Amalfi Coast to the Tweed Coast, we knew it was going to be a day full of personality, colour, and unforgettable moments. As their wedding stylist, we worked closely with them to transform Osteria Weddings into a vibrant Italian-style celebration that honoured their heritage while feeling effortlessly chic

From Italy With Love — A Vibrant Wedding Story

Taking cues from their Italian roots, the vision for the day was clear: fun, fresh, and full of soul. Think citrus tones, terracotta textures, and a Mediterranean palette woven throughout every styling detail. With 180 guests to host, the couple opted for a cocktail-style wedding, designed to feel relaxed, joyful and social — a true Italian-style party.

Guests were welcomed to a laid-back garden courtyard cocktail hour, styled with curated lounge corners, dry bars, and casual table seating to encourage mingling and movement. Later, they were led into the beautifully reimagined Refinery space, which we styled with soft, earthy tones and thoughtful design touches that balanced rustic warmth with chic coastal elegance.Inside we used the venue’s supplied round table and chairs and dressed them with regal floor length tablecloths and textural styling fabric to give an organic feel to the setting. Continuing with luxe and textural elements, we set the table with natural plateware, gold cutlery tied off in a natural textural napkin, brass candlesticks, and layered travertine table numbers in roman numerals. We finished these with personalised gold rimmed agate coasters for guests to take home as a bespoke memento.

Styling Highlights

ome of our favourite styling elements from the day included a citrus-inspired colour palette of coral, lemon and blush, chic lounge areas and furniture from The Wedding Shed, that echoed the Mediterranean brief. Romantic, wild floral arrangements by Gigi Florals tied everything together beautifully. Guests were treated to a roaming freshly made cannoli cart and a nostalgic gelato cart by Wheel and Spoon, which brought a playful and authentic Italian touch. And of course, the bride’s stunning reception dress change was the perfect fashion moment to close out the evening.

This wedding was all about flow and experience. As both the wedding designer and stylist, we ensured each transition felt natural — from ceremony, to cocktails, to reception — with every space curated to reflect the couple’s story. From the vibrant blooms to the ambient lighting and thoughtful lounge layouts, every styling element was layered with intention.
